Summer is a 17-year old carefree black girl, whose world is turned upside down when her mother abruptly converts to Islam, prompting Summer to reevaluate her identity. Jinn was supported by SFFILM, The Kenneth Rainin Foundation, the IFP Narrative Lab and the Sundance Institute. It won a special jury prize for writing at SXSW 2018 and was distributed by MGM/Orion Classics.
